Comunidad de reflexión experimental y artes (CREA) is a project space for exhibitions, publications, and other art adjacent events. Our focus is cultivating a place where collective learning, community connection, and experimentation can occur in a safe environment. We believe art to be the start, not the end—a catalyst that moves through communities, shaping how we live, care, and make meaning together.

About us
Ava Kathryn is an artist, farmer, and environmental advocate from Holland, MI.  Her art practice uses paper engineering to explore memory and space and writing to explore the intersection between art and environmental action. Ava hopes to see accessibility to art space and resources grow in her community.

Jaer Medina is a Chicano artist and educator based in Holland, Michigan. His practice is centered around challenging urban normative sentiments by platforming Midwestern creativity. He aims to place provincial art on equal footing with critical contemporary art from global centers. Currently, he is exploring this through the investigation of Midwestern Mexican-American productions of space.

Madai Huerta is a mixed media artist based out of Holland, MI. Her work explores medical concepts, all while seeking to inspire conversation and connection within her community.
